| Target's Infatuation with Airstream
Hmmm, expect more from Target on Airstreams this coming Holiday season. Someone in the advertising department must have an infatuation. That department is hip and trendy, and into leading edge design. Airstream seems to be the in thing lately from GM, Volkswagen and others. I suspect the cutting edge International CCD series may have started that re-awareness of Airstream's timeless design. Ralph Lauren certainly helped it along.
A lot of placement in advertising and other media is dollar driven--pay to be there. In some cases such as the Apple Macintosh and now Airstream I think the design profession naturally prefers unique design and it just happens by choice.
