2010 Model Year

Is it true that the 2010 model year will only see the 27 foot front bedroom model and the 30 foot Classic with dinette being built by Airstream? I caught this in the Region 2 News & Views report as reported by Larry Huttle at the mid-Winter IBT meeting-- see http://watchungunit.org/2009-feb.pdf

If true, it sure seems like an odd choice of models to produce. I would think the smaller rigs and the recently revived Flying Cloud would be part of the mix. And the odd floorplan of the front kitchen lives???? Go figure. I can't tell from the report if the CCD will live on.

They may be expecting many of the '09 model year sitting on lots for a while. It's good to hear Airstream Inc. carries no debt. I wish I could say the same.

It's sad that the Elkhart, IN area is seeing 15% unemployment as noted today in the Presidents Town Hall. They live by RV sales in those parts. Tough times for the middle class for sure.

I think Larry said those are the only classic models for 2010, Flying Cloud & CCD's are to be produced as usual.

Times will get better, the sooner the better.

BTW Country Coach is almost out of business, sadly.
Those are great coaches, very expensive.
