1971 Airstream manual

I' m Bruno from FRANCE and the most happier french new airstream owner...
I've just bought this caravan 3 weeks ago in NC with the great help of the prior owner, billy ( see picture).
At that time , my Airstream is certainly on the northsea, near Belgium.
As soon as I'll take it , I have some changes to do to adapt the caravan to European electrical inputs ( 220 A/C & 50 hz frequency ) and other details. I want to spend my next holidays in the south of FRANCE, near Saint Tropez.
So I think that the manual from this type is necessary to work with all datas.
My model is a 27' international overlander 1971. Where can get the manual or a copy .I' ve seen some on Ebay but not for the good year and prices are expensive.
Sorry if this question is asked for the 100th time, I'm a new one and you''ll be tolerant for my english.

Thank you for your replies;
It was my seller, billy, who contact me by email, after I've written an anounce on the web; I'liked to do the american dream in FRANCE, to spend my next holiday in something very different ; I wanted an Airstream. My choice was the Billy 'one who live at Brastow, Murphy, NC in her B&B ++++++
I decided to go to see it in reality to verify the condition and it was OK for me; From FRANCE, it was not a simply affair to organize all this exportation; Ihad to tow it to the east coast, Jaksonville, fl. Very difficult to find a renting pick up trailer, with a tow bar, with an insurance and .... et cetera.
Now the Overlander is on the sea.

About my car, it's a FORD TRANSIT, so I think you don't know this model in US. It's a 15' truck with the capacity to tow 1800 kg. It is equipped with an EEC tow bar so I've made on it a steel adaptater to mount your square tow bar . The caravan has the equalizer system and I want to use it for the safety.
I've mounted too your specific brake control to assist my Airstream in braking. Not easy to convert electric wires ; In FRANCE, each turn signal wires are differrent from the stop signal and this kind of braking don't exist for caravan...

What an adventure in USA but the show goes on now in FRANCE.

Don't you think this van is a bit small for a heavy Airstream? I think you must consider something heavier than the trailer, to feel comfortable and safe on the road.

Also I hope you have the bigger US tow ball on your hitch.

Yes Ron I agree with you, this truck is a bit limit for the moment , to tow my airstream but he can do it legally. The capacities indicated on the vehicle papers ( call grey card in France ) allow me to tow until 1800 kg .
So it's the only one I can use to do that . Comparated with What I 've found in renting in US, F350, dually pick-up, mine is little. So , if you live in Europe, you certainly know our little trucks have gotten great possibilities , even the engines are smaller .
About the hitch ball, I've gotten 4 now; In fact i've bought the 2' & 2'5/16 on Ebay, I was not sure for the diameter to use, an another 2'5/16 by Billy , because the Ebay package don't arrive in time and , finally the complate hitch and equalizer system was hidden in the Airstream... Total 4

The interior is , i think genuine but my wife & i , have decide to remove it, the floor 'll be off ASAP; certainly genuine too. The wall are with a vinyl coat but I 've red in the forum we don't have to paint it because it'llnt be nice with the time. Can we find under this coat , a nice aluminum as outside ? certainly no but i try to ask.

Let me know before you take away the interior, as I would like to buy spare parts for mine... I am often in Dunkerque, as I travel with Norfolk Line Ferries.

That 's incredible with this web !!! you write to US and someone can ring at your door !
We want to change at first the carpet, curtains and clean all that in all corners; We have to select what we keep in the caravan, because the prior owner have let all accessories in the Airstream, from vacumm cleaner to coffee machine, spouns, forks... as you can see on the picture above.
It seems I know you 23'. Does it come from FRANCE, around Macon ? I have taken some pictures from Airstreams there to sale, and one 23' with the same carpet;
I'have tried to join one attached but it was refused; too long file.
I can send you in privacy if you want but , if it's yours, may be not necessarry.

I'haven't well understand, your 23' comes from FRANCE and it was not a good solution ?

About the manual , i think the lenghtis not important, I just want to know where are the function to do for the water, toilet, electrical description... the owner manual.
I wanted to know the specificities between an international model as mine and the other; I think the internationals have the possibilities with the 2 frequencies: 50 hz & 60hz: Am I right.
If you make me a copy, I'll pay you.

HI! I just bought an Airstream just like yours. The interior looks identical except my original carpet was bright green shag. If you find a manual, let me know, I need one too.
