Airhog, can I get a 25'er through the drive-thru or should I park in the street?

this thread is right at 1 year old.

and since it's now public knowledge it seems OK to put this here...

AoA in searcy is no longer a new a/s dealership.

my understanding is that every spring/summer the dealerships RE-sign documents with the mothership...

so it would seem THIS go round 1 side or the other opted out.

the searcy shop is still apparently selling other rv brands and vehicles and may still be providing service.

i have not been close enough to drop in and find out.

perhaps some razorback members HERE can get the 1st person info?

this shop exploded onto the scene around 2003/4 and sold a bunch of streams...

they are a great bunch of people and provided excellent customer service.

i already miss them.

the old line shop in stLOUie hated them doing business in their back yard.

so i suspect the BT group is smilin' now.

but BE CAREFUL what you hope for,

since the mothership may taketh away, but they ALSO giveth...

geno' is doing well, my last update has him...

rollin' in mustard

grillin' in the shade

totin' the taters

and chilli'n the dogs.

all while knockin' out a tune with the geetar...

all of the true things that i am about to tell you are shameless lies. l.b.j.

we are here on earth to fart around. don't let anybody tell you any different. k.v.

That's too bad about AOA. I wish them well.

I never used them for service but understand they did very good work.

All of the people I met there were nice and helpful but Gene was (is) exceptional.

Seems like they would have/want to change their name.

Isn't this the 2nd dealership in recent weeks to stop carrying Airstreams? Has JC overreached in their dealership agreements?

Wow -- so glad this thread was resurrected. We were traveling all last summer with limited internet access and totally missed Gene's news. Hopefully he still checks this thread now and then. We did not purchase from Gene but have met him on more than one occasion; can't add anything that has not already been said but just wanted to convey belated best wishes.

Really sorry to hear about AoA -- we've been there several times, had work done and can attest that Gene worked with professional (and very nice) folks. Gene, Mike, and Bill are all class acts. That AoA will no longer be an Airstream dealer is truly a big loss to the Airstream community.

The very best to you Gene, from two fellow Razorbacks --

Thanks for the update Joe.....albeit bad news. We were there this past Spring to have Bill do some work on our rig, and I didn't get the feeling that things were booming......that PanAmerica has to be a huge pink elephant in the lot. I sure hope they continue to be a service center for AS.

We stopped by to visit Gene at his new place of employment. Short visit, as he was busy.....but, he seems very happy in the new inviron. We know he will be successful in his new endeavor......but, what a tremendous loss for our Airstream community.
