Wheelwell undercoating

I was wondering if an oil type undercoating could be applied in the wheelwell or if this would cause some type of problem? I'm not much on the rubber type undercoatings which seem to trap moisture and peel off after awhile.

I've noticed 2 types of inner wheel wells. Metal type material on older units and plastic on the newer ones. I'm thinking that an oil based might not be a great idea for the plastic covers.

Undercoating

I was thinking about having mine done with the Rihno truck bed spray on liner. What do you think?

Rhino Liner seems to have a more rubbery feel and looks like cottage cheese compared to the LineX in my truck. I know people who have had their lawnmower decks sprayed with these spray in bedliners and it seems to hold up well. I don't see why Rhino Liner would not work in this situation.

A mixture of things...

I used POR-15 on my frame that is exposed in the wheel well area.
Once it was done, I looked at it and thought, "That would look really cool with some sort of undercoating". I went to the local auto parts store and bought a couple cans of the spray-on undercoating. I tested it on the plastic wheel well liners. It worked fine. I then coated the wheel well and frame with it. Not that it was completely necessary but it sure looked cool! Five bucks worth of cheap undercoating spray and I can make people crawl under my trailer to see my pretty spruce-up job!
