wheel well sealing

Does anyone know what was used to seal the wheel wells with? Or what I should use to reseal them with? New axles should be in soon and I want to reseal and paint everything before I put them on.
Thanks

I had first thought about rhino liner then decided rubberized undercoat.

I'm thinking about the rubberized as well(64 overlander). Does anyone know what kind of metal it is? does it need a primer? Rm what product did you use? and has it endured? (could have said lasted but thought this would make me look smarter)
Thanks

The wheel wells on my 67 were galvanized steel.
The new ones I had made are galvanized as well. I washed mine with "marine clean" then used "metal prep" on them which etched the metal so the paint or... has something to grab on to.
I used rattle can rubber undercoat. Not sure how it will hold up. Have not had the trailer out yet.
Both prep products are available at Vintage Trailer Supply.
