Wheel Well Housings
I'm not sure what to use for search words on google. I've tried wheel wells, wheel housings, nothing. I need two 63 inch by 12 high by 14 wide. Anyone know a place that sells them. I'm sure I saw some online once but cann't find them?

You could have them made. Mine are just galvanized steel sheet stock. Looks like about three pieces each for the pair. Sides and the center. If I had a brake I could make you some. Check with a sheet metal shop. Shouldn't be that expensive. I know famous last words, lol.

I was amazed that the local sheetmetal shop wanted over $200 each to reproduce mine. They must be very busy with other work. 
The seam between the body and the cheeks is a "Pittsburgh" lockseam. I guess that means they need to send away to Pittsburgh for it. 
I ended up trimming the rusted flanges off the old wheelwells, and making new flanges.

The new ones from Airstream are not that expensive. Something like $75 a throw. You can get them from your local dealer.
FWIW this is the path I am taking....

I have the P/N's and pricing as of 5/20/2005 for the tandum axle wheel well's and covers if anybody wants them. Just PM me or shoot me an email, of if demand is enough, I'll just post them here.

The cost of the tandem inner or outer wheel well covers is reasonable.
However, the cost to ship them, is not, since they must ship as oversize.

Local metal shop will make them for 150 for both from heavier galvanized sheet. Should be ready this week and we will see how they did.

Couple of these.

Cut them in half. Ht local metal supply and lengthen them to the 63 inches. Pop rivet them together. Seal it up with Vulkem.

The only problem with metal wheel well covers, both inside and out, is they will fatigue crack, from vibration.
You can eliminate that by balancing the tire, wheel, hub and drum, as an assembly.

The old ones were in pretty good shape for 46 years old. Some rust lines from the tires throwing dirt. You could see the tire tread in the metal. But alast the flanges were rusted away and I damaged both getting them out. Other note that they are staples to the bottom of the floor.
New ones will be nice.
New axels, new drums, new wheels, new tires. Currently researching the stuff in the wheel approach to balancing.

Now there's one case where I think you should use nitrogen to inflate your tires. I can't imagine what happens if you get a slug of oily condensate in your tire and it turns the balancing stuff into one big ball of putty.

They've got flanges. You have to roll the edge over to lock it but it is only a 5 minute job with a hammer and dolly.

Yeah,I guess you could turn the edges to make flanges, they've got plenty of extra metal. They're big enough for bogger tires.
