warranty skylight repair

I have just purchased a new 2008 Safari Sport 22 in Arizona, and drove it back to Southern CA. Now that I have had the time to go over it, I see cracks in the skylight (3 or 4), in the corners, and small amounts of dirt and water stains in and around those cracks. How easy is it to have warranty repairs done, and can someone please recommend a shop in or around the Pasadena/South Pasadena area? Thanks

Hi, you need to take your trailer to C&G Trailer Service in Bellflower, Ca. to get his repaired or replaced.

We have water that comes in between the dome and the inner plastic piece on our skylight. The dealer where we bought the AS ordered a replacement, however we're going to take the unit to Jackson Center to get this and a number of other repairs fixed.

Our skylight cracked around the screws. They screw them down too tight and don't use washers to spread the force of the head of the screw. This is a chronic Airstream problem. It's sealed for the moment and will eventually go to JC for repair. Also check other roof items—I understand the soil stacks have to be watched for quick deterioration.

A soil stack is the vent off a waste or drain to a sewer. There will be one for the black water tank and probably one for the grey water. This allows air pressure to equalize so waste water flows easily and vents smells to the atmosphere. The fan vents for the bathroom and shower look similar (check those for leaks too), but these are smaller. You see the soil stacks on a house roof too. I believe it has been reported that the plastic used in recent years is so cheap that it weathers in less than 2 years and starts to fall apart.

Inspect it ASAP...

This is what our black tank vent looked after two Seasons..

We will be replacing our "cracked around the screws" skylight later this season.

So when is this..."old enough to know better" supposed to kick in?

Someone changed the spelling of "warrany" to "warranty".

I thought this thread was about a "warrany". Now I'm really confused.
