I just got online and saw an update to this thread and wanted to respond to your question since I've also installed the Maxim's on my stream too.
The link below is to a PDF from the Maxim website and shows a diagram of how the skylight is put together. The only screws that could allow water into the trailer are those that Bambi has caulked horizontally into the side of the curb that sticks up from the roof of the trailer. The other screws are those that hold the skylight in the frame itself.
