Question Roof question

I want to remove the current TV antenna from the roof of my 1987 31' TT. In its place I plan to install a satellite antenna (it will not fit over the current opening in the roof - too close to the front vent).

My question is about the roof. The new satellite antenna should be mounted in the center line of the roof. Is there a main structure beam in the center that would cause a problem? And can the roof be walked on?

My current motorhome (bus conversion) does have a center main support - the satellite antenna is mounted just to the side of center. The roof can be walked on w/o any problem (heck, you could dance on the roof!)

Thanks for any insite you may be able to share.

Don

No center support. The vertical rivet lines on the outside are ribs that go up and around. Don't dance on the roof, you will end up in the basement. If you need to get on it use a piece of padded plywood spanning the ribs, it is pretty thin. The picture is looking up in my mh, will give you an idea of what is inside.
