Get the Dometic deal solved, and we'll move on.

Are you wanting to carry a canoe or something?

You could probably locate a rack up there if the feet could tie into the ribs. But other than a boat, what would you want to put up there? It'll be near impossible to access.

But to answer your question; you could probably carry 100lbs easily enough if you had a rack that attached to two different ribs, spreading the weight between the two.

Good luck,

You are setting yourself up for a dented trailer. Every time you try to get up high enough to put something on it or take it down you risk denting your trailer just by leaning on the panels.
Besides I think it would look awful.
But maybe that's just me.

I've never seen an Airstream with a rack on top (not even those pods you sometimes see on bother trailers/RVs) though it's probably possible if it's mounted to ribs and the weight's not too great... Then there's the height/clearance issue...and certainly gas mileage and towing ease would be affected. Better to store stuff in a truck if you need to...better weight placement, better accessibility, etc.

khaled... forgot to say "welcome to the forums"... I'm sure you've figured out that folks here are not short on opinions...but please take heart, and know that it's all meant to be helpful. The Forum is a great place for advice and information...and we are glad you are here and hope you can get your Argosy squared away to work for you.
