I think the covers look very nice. I like the ones with screen the best.
I just used the stainless steel wasp covers made for furnace vents from the rv store.
People. I can take my garden hose and put it inside the vent pipe and turn the water on and have no leaks.
Think about it, the vent pipe goes directly to your holding tank. The sink tees into that but no leaks should get it to the trailer from the vent pipe.. Provided the joints were glued. Same for the black tank vent, straight through the roof.
That being said, you may have a seal around the pipe issue. Clean the old sealant from around the pipe and reseal with TempPro urethane sealant.
For hairline cracks and rivet heads I like "Captain tolley's creeping crack cure".
I had plenty of leaks in my "64 Safari". Not any more.

I ordered 3 of the aluminum vent covers from Mobile Home Depot that was mentioned previously in this thread, so they definitely still have some. They were $10 each, so 3 with tax and shipping to OK cost me $47.67 The man I talked to was named Mike and he was very helpful, he even went back to the warehouse to measure the aluminum vents for me to make sure they were identical to the galvanized ones in their catalog. They aren't identical, he said the aluminum one were slightly taller, but otherwise the same.

Base 6"
Height 3 3/4"
Bell 4"
Will accommodate up to a 2 1/2" pipe.
(if that helps anyone)

I'll post pics when they arrive and after we've installed them.

I just replaced two of my roof vent caps. I used Oatey house roof aluminum vent terminations. I picked them up at Lowes for 8.00 each, they are aluminum bases that you can trim down and rivet to the roof. The rubber slips over a piece of abs tubing I cut and slid inside of the pipe coming thru the roof.

Those are galvanized & will rust. The bell ones from Mobil Home Depot are aluminum. Reviving this thread because I need new caps for my newest project!

I think if you live along the southern coast they would not last longer than a few years before showing signs of rust. But then you could just spray some rust inhibitor on them and paint them aluminum color

The phone number is the same. I'm working on a 1988 Avion 32S. The plumbing vents are plastic junk & most likely leak, so I'm replacing them with my favorite ones I have them on my 1964 Bambi II & they're nice.
