I've seen a bunch of hail damage photos of vintage Airstreams on various forums. My wife & I have a newer Airstream (2015 Flying Cloud).
Does anyone know if newer Airstreams are anymore hail-damage resistant than earlier vintage models? They appear to be made of different type aluminum (non-shiny).
I live in Colorado which is a hail risk every Spring!
Newer Airstreams are made of a slightly thinner gauge of aluminum than older models (not 100% sure what year was the cutoff.) I'm not sure if the difference is sufficient to have a meaningful impact on resistance to hail damage.
