Foam roof

I am restoring a 68 Safari. After reading about everyone's chronic leak problems on the roof I was thinking about using a one inch layer of closed cell spray foam on the outside of the roof. I would then paint the foam with latex paint so it would be water resistant. From what I've heard this would forever solve the leak problems.

Only if you don't ever move the trailer.

Moving it will crack the foam.

No, the water will still run in if the leak itself is not fixed. You just might not notice it until the floors get spongy or you get a mildew smell.

No matter how you do that it will not look very pretty.
Like a trailer wearing a fuzzy wig maybe?
