Antenna removed from '69 Overlander; need it?

I have removed the antenna from my trailer and am wondering if anyone might need it for a restoration. I will not replace it and don't want to junk it if someone could use it.

Jay, if this is a roof mounted unit, I would appreciate having it as mine is missing. Is there also a crank to go with it?

Oh my gosh! I took the one off my '67 (front, road side) and brought it to the dump. Over the years, I have been wishing that I hadn't. I would love to have it. I am in Vermont. Where are you located?

I seem to have created a challenge for my self! I had no idea so many might want the antenna. It is a roof mounted unit, it does not have the inside the trailer raising mechanism (it appears that was removed) everything above the roof skin seems to be there and the crank for orienting it is (inside trailer) available. I am stumped as to what to do. I've had three requests for the antenna; are there any who have need of it who might have either trunk latches with key (my unit has no keys for the exterior access hatches) or a round light fixture with the flat round switch knobs (my front interior light was ruined by a leak). I hope I am not creating a larger issue but if a trade is possible with any of you that would be great. Regardless, I will not trash the antenna unit!

Jay, No light fixture or latches here. I'm still interested though.

I too had no keys for the exterior hatches. I removed one of the latches and took it to a locksmith. He inserted a blank key into the lock, turned it several times against the tumblers which indented the blank key. He then made me a key that works. All of my exterior hatches are keyed the same.

Oh well.....I will drop out of the running. I thought it wasprobably a front mount, as that is what my 67 had. Thank you anyway. If you can't get your lock re-keyed, the replacement locks are very inexpensive from Vintage Trailer Supply or Inland RV.

Jim, here's a link to a series of pictures of the antenna. I also have the insider part of the crank that holds the antenna to the trailer but didn't get a pic of that. Will box it up and send it to you on Monday and send an e-mail note along with shipping costs.

Works for me -- If you are reusing your appliances, I may have parts you can have. I've removed the original oven, refer, stove top, furnace. All are in poor shape but perhaps parts could be salvaged if you are interested.

I will remove my antenna this spring and will be up for grabs. I would rather not take it to the dump. I also have a 69 Overlander.

Clay, have you taken off your antenna yet? If not I will take it. Scott
