1965 Tail Light Bezel repair

Does anybody know what the tail light bezels/buckets on the 1965 Airstreams are made of? They look like plastic and they crack with age. The reason I ask is that my local RV repair guy said that they should be repaired with epoxy if they are plastic. He said fiberglass would not stick to plastic. I was also told from a good source that they can be repaired with fiberglass. So my next step is finding out what they are made of.

Use West System Epoxy resin ( from a boat supply or Aircraft Spruce) with the fiberglass cloth. They build boats and airplanes out of the stuff, it should work on your light bezel.

Absoluetly correct.

Glassing can be done, but the surface of the bezel must be made very rough. That could lead to it totally falling apart. It's a very risky way to try to fix it.
