What is the best way to hold the insulation in the belly

How is the best way to hold in in place while you put belly skin back in place.

You can use 3M spray contact cement on the floor, and the insulation. Stick the insulation to the floor. Then use a floor jack with a piece of plywood on it to hold the belly pan up, and rivet in place.

It depends on how much insulation you want. If you want 3" or so you can't use the factory method, that only works for an inch or so draped over the crossmembers.

If you want to get some decent R value and you want to keep the insulation from laying on the bellyskin you can use metal straps to keep the batts an inch or so off the skin. It also helps to keep it from soaking up water.

I don't think that will stop water from soaking up over time, as soon as it gets any moisture it will hang down - get an air space - useless!

I'm taking on a project that was unfinished shell off Frame and reconditioned frame and new floor was already installed and shell remounted. Which left the under floor exposed seeing the frame as the old under belly was rotted and will need new skin.
What is the best effective way to Insulating the underbelly of an AS? without using Fiberglass? Any advise ? allinone12@cox.net Thanks

I used multiple layers of foam board held in place with deck screws with large plastic washers. It's a lot easier to put in place with the frame upside down.

Are you camping in sub-freezing weather a lot? if not, then really, why do you need insulation in the floor? I pulled all the insulation out and have camped in some pretty cold conditions, and haven't felt a need for floor insulation. Floor insulation in a trailer traps moisture, and you know what happens then.
