Belly Pan repair tool

Wouldn't this make it easy to work on the belly? I found this picture at the RV/MH Heritage Foundation Museum in Elkhart. They have a library of literature on vintage trailers and motorhomes as well as having numerous vintage trailers. We stopped by on the way back from the Lansing rally. Any idea which model and year Airstream is shown in this picture?

Are you sure that picture didn't come from one of the UFO digs in Roswell?

Yea, but then you have to polish it.

Can you publish the plans, or do you plan to build them for sale to individuals?

Spin Dock

All joking aside, I cannot see how the "lathe" is connected to the trailer.
Gotta know. Please advise if you can see it better.

Any idea where that facility was located? Looks like a marketing show and a sales display to me. Trailer probably a hollow mock-up ??

You know polishing wood is real easy in a lathe, just turn that thing on to about 200 rpms and grab a bar of rouge.

MMMMM rotisserie airstream, tastes like chicken.

That trailer looks very similar to my 1964 Globetrotter. It has a single axle, one window midship on the curbside, two refrigerator access panels just aft of the door, and it also has the door/screen door that swings toward the front of the trailer. Also it has bullet clearance lights, and the gas piping follows the same routes as my trailer. My guess is a 1964 Globetrotter.

I've seen a similar picture of a 40's trailer on a dealers lot. Don't think if would be hard to do even with a complete trailer as this one appears to be. My guess is earlier than 64 - like a 61/62 because it does not have a rear trunk like the 64's did, but, it does have a dura-tork axle.
