Belly pan questions

I removed the forward belly pan today and under the forward subfloor was a sheet of aluminum between the subfloor and frame. Is that normal? do all subfloors have this piece? I don't recall reading anything about the extra piece of aluminum. here are a couple pictures, lots of wet insulation no insulation under the front piece.

thanks,
David and Pam

Maybe it's for the option of putting a spare tire holder there?

Yep, that is set up so that if you have the spare tire carrier mounted in that first bay, that the subfloor is protected from splash.
