Any ideas on what this is?

Just pulled this off the underbelly of my trailer, curb side rear. It was held in place by two clips and wasn't connected in any way to the trailer otherwise. Does anyone know what this is/was? Can I throw it out, or am I bound to regret it later?

Maybe a cover for a hole dug for disposal of waste? They used to do that in the old days, dig a hole, put the waste water in it, dump the black water in it when you leave and refill.

The round hole in the center is about the right size for a drain line.

My best guess.

Well I am not sure what it is but I can assure you that I did not have one on my belly pan of my 69....Or my other two trailers.... It kinda looks like someone at some point did a mickey mouse repair using whatever they had on hand, kinda looks like a lid from a big metal chemical storage drum to me...I am sure you are safe to toss it
