Step slide rusted out

Hello all, I have a problem with my 73 Argosy's step. The slotted part that the step slides in is rusted out. If you check this thread. http://www.airforums.com/forums/f475...air-42559.html and look at post #5 you will see a similar problem (mine's the forward rail) and the piece I need to repair it (the forward version). So far so good but .... I can't find that part online. Probably because I don't know what it is called. It is a 22' Argosy if that makes a difference. Thanks much for any help you can give. Don

What you need is the step outrigger which can be ordered from an Airstream Dealer.

You need both step "outriggers" so that you have a matched set.

Rusted out or worn out step outriggers, is rather common.

The only problem is that they have to be welded in place, very carefully, so that both sides are exactly the same.

A very few dealers stock them.

They are not expensive.
