I have been trying to get the bolts out of the steps to replace the two bolts that locks the steps in place. I tried heat, oils and still no luck these are the allen bolts on the sides of the steps I don't wont to strip or break them got any ideals how to loosen them.

Soak it with PB Blaster over night (better then WD 40). If that doesn't work you just may have to drill it out. If you drill it be careful not to drill into the bushing I don't know where to get those.

You can get PB at Homies, Lowes or almost any good hardware store. By the way I was able to get those bolts at Ace Hardware Store. In stainless steel.

Almost always sunny here unless there is a hurricane bearing down on you. And then it's time to hook up the burb and roll. So far I've been very lucky.

If byou damage the bolts out of doors mart carries the bolts and bushings. When I did mine I made the partd myself on a lathe and bridgeport mill. I wish I would have known that ODMRV had them.

M Garrison,
I "reconditioned" my steps as a little winter project and I too had a "fun" time getting the steps apart. My pleasure was doubled because our '87 has two doors. I was going to just replace the whole step assembly until I saw how much they cost. So I decided to replace the anti-skid stickers and all the worn or corroded bolts. I was fortunate enough to find them on Out Of Doors Mart's web site. After I got the steps apart it went fairly easy. You can read about it and see some of the bolts I had to remove and how I removed them here...
