I would assume that by this time you are seeing a Therapist (PT or OT). They usually can refer you to a Medical Equipment company that specializes in ADA modifications. Also your local MD support group can be of great help. They might have a "try before buy" program.

Chaplin Kent; I looked and saw you are from Wisconsin. There is a good PT/OT dept at the Uof W. An alternative would be RIC (Rehab institute of Chicago) or Craig institute in Denver. Craig does a lot of modifications.
I worked with adaptive equipment and I learned a lot from these places. I think it would be of your best interest to check these out first.
