I don't quite need the same thing, mine is still on my 66 Caravel - BUT - it's damaged. One side catches and the other won't and vice/versa. It's bent - looks like it was left down and hit something. I have given it some wacks and it "functions" but I would like to make a more complete repair. I also would like advice on how to remove it so I can restore it.
I had to get an automotive body dolly (I think that is the name) and a good size ball pene hammer and start hammering on it. Took about 2-3 hours of "adjusting and looking at an original example and going back and pounding somemore. Wooks good and looks OK - only a perfectionest can tell.
