Lubricate Steps

Should steps be lubricated occassionally for proper performance. If so, what type of lubricant is preferred. Thanks. Bill

I just put my steps back together and used white lithium grease in a spray can.

Silicone spray works well for all exterior parts of an Airstream, axle excluded.

I spray silicone spray on the hinges each time I hitch up. I use the same spray on my spring bars (Equal-i-zer brand) to prevent the noises that some find annoying. It's easy to just walk around and spray a little on each joint. I also do the same on my stabilizer screws when we arrive.
