Argosy entrance step

Just bought a 78 Argosy Minuet, having fun so far. We are looking to restore rather than remodel this unit. It is in fairly original condition for its age.

My question is, what was the original entrance step on these units. Just the black pullout units I see at the trailer supply or what? Also does anyone know how they were attached to the trailer.

Thanks for the help. Argosyman

Steps

Here is what they look like. It has a frame that bolts thru the floor of the trailer.

Those second steps were an extra-cost option, at least on Argosy trailers. You don't have to have one, though they do make it a nice, easy two steps up and down.

Our 1978 Argosy Minuet 6.7 m. came with a small aluminum step. My folks bought it brand new and it did not come with a pull out/fold out step. The little step stool type step came with it. Works well.

Thanks for all the help, I took a second look, I don't think it ever had a step attached to the trailer. No mounting holes anywhere. I believe I will use your suggestion for a portable step of some sort.
Thanks, Argosyman
