Would this sell?
My guy just bought a new Dodge PU and while we were in the parking lot I noticed they had a Camouflage vinyl wrapped Jeep on display, I jokingly said hey I should wrap our 72 Argosy. It started off as a joke but now we are seriously thinking about it.
The Argosy's existing paint is super thin and needs a redo and Argosys really don't sell for that much in comparison to Airstreams. So...would going Camo make it more marketable or less?
Doing the exterior in camo would be a stark contrast to the really bright interior which I have done in Brushed Aluminium and Carbon fibre vinyl and that seems to be my one weird concern is the major contrast between outside and in...
I would likely paint the camo as vinyl wraps do not hold up as long as these trailers do.
See attached pic of my Argosy mock up and the Jeep that was the inspiration

I was emphatic about painting our Argosy camo at one time (and did have my wife's permission) ...I have since changed my mind. (but, reserve the right to do so again)

I would think it would look too red neck and hunting camp used. Personally it would greatly lower the price as far as I am concerned. But, it could be just what someone else might be looking for. It is your trailer to do with as you please.

There was a camo Argosy MH for sale most of last year in NY, with the price getting lower and lower - around $2.5K in the end.
The last posting I saw was pretty much "will take any offer, or it goes into storage until spring"
So that suggests they aren't too desirable.

Hmm, thanks for the Agosy Motorhome pic... That is an awful lot o' camo. Yup definitely looks cuter on a smaller vehicle...

Well visibility is important as far as not becoming road kill. You can't avoid what you can't see. Black, silver, and gray colored cars are nearly invisible under some conditions. I would think camo to be even worse. Also something with dark colors is going to heat up in the sun.

Its like any other highly customized change you make to a vehicle. The further you get from the expected, or "norm," the smaller your audience is likely to be that shares your tastes. You would be more likely to get away with making a Jeep camo because Jeeps are supposed to have a military heritage, be rough and rugged, and ready for the Zombie Apocalypse. I don't think Argosy/Airstream trailers appeal (in general) to survivalists or para-military types.

The section just to the left of the door on your mockup looks like some kind of an alien, or my sister-in-laws husband.

If you are trying to sell the trailer, factor in what it is worth now, vs what you have to put in to paint it and what it may sell for. If the difference is close to the cost for painting, leave it alone.
Camo might turn on some buyers but will probably turn off lots more, I know I would be one of em. Here's a thought, if you are going to paint it, paint it a nice metallic silver. I've often thought of painting my airstream so it would have a nice even finish rather than the splotchy aluminum it has now.

I knew two sisters that had their cars covered in faux fur, a tiger print Karmann Ghia and a leopard print VW bug. Could provide additional insulation to the Argosy!

Fun idea. Depends how badly you want it, if it is the right idea for you, right?
Having owned a graphics and sign business for twenty years and having wrapped with vinyl many a vehicle there are some items to think about. Firstly, the curves at the top of the trailer on the front and back are very tough to wrap with vinyl and make look good. You will need a professional installer and I would ask them for finished photos and a reference that had a vehicle with complex (bending in two directions at once) curves like your trailer that you can speak to. I would make sure, in-person, their wrap still looks good after two plus years and that you like the look on those curves.
Other thoughts...Longevity (the reselling issue has already been well addressed in other replies): You would likely get seven years of solid-looking graphics life if the printing and installation was well done. There will most likely be some vinyl failure along the way that you should anticipate in some areas. Vinyl is no where near as tough as a good paint. Scratches will show in the laminate from branches and such brushing against it. Camp chairs and other items leaned against the graphics that slide/fall down could gouge or scrape the graphic.
I'm sure there are some items I have not thought about but you can ask me more questions if you come up with any.
Ahhhhh, the choices we have in life. We are lucky to have so many options!
Good luck with whatever you decide!

Maybe vinyl wrapped as a Twinkie and see if it sells in Colorado where pot's legal?

Just saw that you, thesignlady, wrote this original post! Too funny that I was trying to give you industry info! Hopefully, you surmised that I hadn't looked at your username. Reckon' you already well know what I wrote .
When I was in the business we would have folks come in, thankfully only sometimes, thinking that a wrapped vehicle would be as good as paint in terms of toughness and be disappointed when I told them otherwise. When I read your post I didn't want anyone to wrap their trailer and be potentially disappointed down the road. If you ever did wrap your own trailer, with your very own two hands, you would know exactly what you were getting!
Take care.

Oh I certainly do :-) I would never actually vinyl wrap a 22 foot trailer. I boondock camp, vinyl wouldn't like that abuse much, let alone the short life span comparative to how long these Airstreams last. It would SUCK bad to have to remove that much vinyl in 5 years time. Seeing that Argosy motorhome pic definitely made me change my mind. Way to much Camo...

When we first got our Airstream, we learned of a company that made vinyl cling sheets with your red WBCCI numbers. It was very convenient. After our first season, they had done something horrible to the aluminum.
The picture taken here was at the factory. We asked if there was anything they could do to fix what looked like corrosion (that line of gunk over the new traditional numbers where the top of the vinyl cling sheet had been).
They couldn't. The said they'd have to replace the aluminum to fix it. 😩
I can't imagine what would happen with an entire trailer wrapped in vinyl....
And the cammo paint version posted earlier is not my cup of anything 😄

Hi SteveSueMac, what you have in your image is called filaform corrosion. Do a search of the forums. There is a lot of stuff on here about this plague of the newer model airstreams.
