Where to get clear coat

I need some clear coat for my 2000 Bambi. I understand I should get it at my dealer, however the closest dealer is 90 minutes away. Can anyone tell me what brand they sell and if there are suggestions as to how I might get some?

I read Nyalic is good but I cannot figure out how to buy this as well. When I try to purchase through their website, I get a message that the store is temporarily closed.

Thank you in advance.

Cameron

Go to any auto body paint supply dealer. They should have all the information you need

How much clear coat did you need, just touch up or the whole trailer? The Nyalic store seems to be working OK.Transportation

I go to P&S Trailer Service in Helena Ohio for my clear coating. When I had a minor peel after a really cold winter they suggested I just use clear enamel from a spray can to touch it up and keep the aluminum from oxidizing. If you spray thin coats crefully without excess that causes runs, you will not be able to tell the difference and the aluminum will be protected more than adequately

Here is what I ended up with. Not beautiful but should keep the filiform at bay. I got the corrosiion X and clear coat at the Portland area Airstream dealer. The guy at the parts department told me not to sand off the corrosion as i would scratch the metal. Also, you can plainly see where the new clear coat product is used.

That kind of corrosion will need to be polished to remove it. That will leave a different finish but it will look better than the present corroded look.

Clear coat

The after market clear coat that Airstream uses, can be obtained from "Airstream parts stocking dealers".

The present clear coat, is a 2 part paint.

Shipping it today, however, is some what of a challenge.
