Where to find a Argosy Nameplate?

I can find "Airstream" nameplates everywhere... but no love for the "Argosy" nameplate

. Anybody know where to purchase?

About the only source for Argosy nameplates is via E-Bay or classifieds. So far as I know, the nameplates have not been reproduced. I found the one that I needed to replace the one that had been removed from the front of my Minuet during paint touch-up after watching E-Bay for about three months. I have been considering having my Minuet's nameplates powder-coated, but haven't made a definite decision.

One of the forums members is parting out a '73 Argosy 26, he may have the emblem you are looking for.

I'm actually looking to replace the Argosy nameplates with new namplates and I'm wondering if anyone knows who might be able to produce a nameplate to my specification? Let me explain...

We're going to paint our Argosy to look like a Twinkie. Yellow on top with a darker brown/yellow on the belly pan area. We want to have namplates produced that say "Hostess" and I'm wondering if anyone knows a good source for this type of fabrication? We decided this would be the most economical approach that makes a wacky statement. Basically two colors. No airbrushing, two-tone blending or expensive colors. Should be easy.

Now I realize I probably just made many of you say "what the HECK is this guy thinking?" but we've never been fans of convention.

Burning Man here we come...

Anyway, if anyone has any suggestions I'd love to hear them. Thanks!

If there is a salvage yard near you, look there. Also you might get in touch with Colaw's in Missouri, they have a couple of Argosies and I am sure they will be glad to sell you a nameplate.
