touch up clear coat...

What does everyone use to touch up stone chips on the clear coat? Do not want to use a spray can from the factory. They also do not offer touch up bottle with a brush. I assume one would just buy automotive clear coat touch up bottle. Thanks...

I had my local dealer touch up some dings while my 2004 was still under warranty. Since then I invested in Enkay "Rock Tamer" removable mud flaps. I haven't had a rock hit since. Well worth the money.

In such circumstances you can get a can of the Airstream clear spray, and spray into the cap of the spray can to collect a teaspoonfull of the liquid, and quickly paint it on the marks with an artist's small brush. (As distinct from a small artist's brush.... )
You need to be quick, and apply the laquer with just one brush stroke, not too full, or you will get runs, not too little on the brush, or you will show brush marks. I'ts worth practicing on a spare piece of aluminum, held vertically.
Nick.
