Tail light Bezel clearcoat?

Hi gang, we're in the midst of restoring my rear light bezels on my 69. We have polished the outer edge to a shine and gave a textured sanding to the flat surface. Now I want to clear coat. I used a brush on Por15 product called glistenPC which reading the can sounded perfect but it is not as self levelling as they imply. What have others used with good results?
