Straightening Bent Aluminum Trim

Does anyone have advice about what sort of tool I should use to straighten bent aluminum trim -- for example, I want the "eyelashes" etc. to be perfectly straight before I start polishing. The corner of one is crumpled. Should I use pliers? Or does anyone have experience successfully bending these into shape using something else? Any suggestions are appreciated.
Thank you.

Marshall

Marshall,

Do you have any pics and model of trailer? There are a bunch of aluminum trim parts and even more in differnent locations by model sometimes. I am no body repair expert by any means, but some extra details might provide someone here a better way to help.

Marshall.

Are you referring to the "drip caps" over the top of the windows?
If so, that metal is very soft. Replacements are dirt cheap.

Andy:

Thanks for the information. I had heard that and then another individual told me that keeping the original was important for keeping the value. The trailer is a 1962 Bambi. I have no problems replacing them with new (in fact I'd prefer it) if it's no big deal.

Thank you, Andy.
