What steps do you take when painting an Argosy? I talked to a couple of auto painters and received conflicting info. To prime or not, etc. We do have a couple of silver spots showing (very small). How many days? How warm does it have to be? Sorry for all the ??? but I'm a newby. I'm enjoying reading the blogs and finding out new info. Thanks
Thanks for all the info, although I must say it seems overwhelming and time consuming, but It'll be worth it in the long run. I don't want it to look like those trailers that were painted with house paint. I know you painted your trailer inside, but ours is on a permanant sight. That is why I asked about the temperature. Why did you say this is a setup????
Sorry, I don't mind joking around I just wanted to make sure I didn't do something stupid since I'm new at this. I went back and checked boatdoc's post. You're right, it was addressed. I guess I asked because some of the other post I read seemed older. Thanks for your patience with me
Go to "Paint Info for 76 Argosy". I would put the link here by frankly I don't know how to do that, so just go to the search up in the right hand corner and type that in.

Thanks. Have a friend in Austin, with a fully restored 28ft Argosy, that is beautiful. He has a plane and a bike and a Jag he's working on now. Of course, he's retired.

Alright, we'll see if that worked. In Microsoft Word, after you click 'return' it turns blue automatically. It didn't just do that in this window.
I've also noticed one thing I'm curious about being able to do. When I attach pictures, they only show up at the bottom of the post. Some users are able to insert photos in the middle of their text for refernce. Is that secret in the HTML or is there something easier than that? Okay, here goes...I'm posting.

Drat, now our little Argy is starting to grow on me. I guess you were...were...were...right, honey.

If you upload photos to this site as attachments, they show up at the end of the post. If you have the photo on another site you can click on the image button (looks like a mountain with a moon [or sun?]) and put in the URL for where the picture resides. When you put an image file in that way it can be anywhere you want in the post.
Or you can use code: [IMG.]pathtofile/filename.ext[/IMG.] (remove the . from the image tags to post it.)
Hope this helps.
