This really worked for us! We had one side where the blue was looking really faded. If you go to Walmart in the craft section, you will find paint markers. They have one that is exactly the Airstream blue. It was a breeze to put on and after many washings, rain and dirt, still looks new.

Are referring to little pen like devices that have paint in them?

If so, how many pens did you have to use or could you please explain what exactly you did with these markers?

go to an automotive paint store and get a stripe removal wheel, made by 3M. You can use it with a drill and it will take all the work out of this job.

I have seen this tool but I thought that it was only for Pin stripes rather than say a 3" or larger stripe.

Can you shed some light? have you used one of these?

WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH THE "Dremel" tool?
I cannot figure out what you're doing, and you don't say.

Most of you guys are 'losing' me... So many of you have the same 'Icons" that I was looking for your continuous posts, and got mixed up. Especially, when 'decals' are talked about...without photos, I have no idea how close you all are to what I showed in my photo with the American Flag Bow on the door.
It's hard when you have a bad headache...I'm sorry. Can anyone clarify this 6 inch decal thing.

Installing the "Rubrail" is relatively easy.
First of all---if you have RockGuards, or anything else covering an area with the RubRail under it (like the battery door areas)...do the "under area" first and then do the item covering it (such as the RockGuards)...and work from there on.
1. ---after removing all the old Rubrail, use a gentle soap and toothbrush to clean the track out thoroughly,
2. then you want to use a power drill to carefully REMOVE the old rivets, being careful to not damage the "end caps"...which you will REUSE on the ends of the Rubrail.
3. Once the rivets are all pulled out, and you have all the End Caps safely ready to reuse,,,make sure the rivet holes are clean---because you are going to put the ParBond IN each rivet hole when you RIVET in the new RubRail.
4. Cut a section of the RubRail to fit into the section ready to fill....& place one end into one EndCap and rivet them together into the rivet hole --WHICH YOU HAVE FILLED WITH A SQUIRT OF PAR-BOND.
5. Repeat for the other end of that section..
6. Repeat for each section of your rig.
As someone so wisely put it, make certain you "ParBond" the track above and below your Rubrail, where it meets the 'fuselage' of your rig.

Yes, I use them a lot, I do auto body repair and that is the best way to remove them, it doesn't leave any glue or anything, like a big eraser. They come in different sizes. we use a solid one. This is Annie's husband.

It took three markers to do the job. We have been very pleased with the results.
