Rusty License Plate Bracket

My '04 Safari has a license plate bracket that already shows signs of rust. I've noticed many recent model Safaris & CCDs have the same bracket and almost all of them have some rust. A friend of our's has just repainted his '02 Safari's bracket, but I'm looking for something made of aluminum or stainless steel to replace mine.

How many others out there have this problem & what have you done??? Perhaps a custom fabrication is in order.

Go to Boater's world, or a similar boating supply store, and get a galvanized license plate bracket.

Galvanized is OK, but I was hoping to find something with more 'class'?! ...Stainless or aluminum.

You can go to a site that sales custom accessories for cars, 4X4s, etc and find a really large selection of license plate brackets. I would think that finding one made from stainless or aluminum would be no problem there.

That's getting closer, but it's only the frame. I need the bracket with the light that holds the license. Has anyone else noticed rusty L/P brackets on their recent model Airstreams (Safari's & CCD's - Classics have a plastic recessed one)??
