Removing Emblem Plates

Hi Everyone .

We are back in action. Now we are starting the polishing process.( Well he is) We have a question regarding the emblems next to the door which say Ambassador etc... As you can see in the picture one is not even. How do we remove them and reinstall them?

Thanks Again,

Hope to meet you on the road some day.

What' s the original color scheme?

Good question and I'd like to hear the answer myself. The other question is :
What are the colors of each emblem portion and the inlay? - mines faded real bad.

Emblem removal

My Globe Trotter emblem has small pins that go through the outer aluminum skin and are held by spring clips as shown below. I chose to cut an access hole in the inner skin to remove/reinstall these clips. I took the emblem off to polish around the scripts and restore the scripts. I have also read that some use a thin flat tool to break the pins and then rivet the emblems back on. My scripts were thin pot metal and riveting would not work.

I think she used it at the air shows as a base.
This picture is in her book.
