Painting a blue stripe on an Excella?

I'm just wondering if anyone has had any experience replacing blue decal with with paint? Just priced a new decal.. Holy Yikes! Over $500 for the decal.

What about a vinyl wrap? That might be more cost effective.

I stripped the blue decal from mine and I like it better without the decal or paint.

Hey Bill, I'm considering the same. Do you by any chance have a pic you can share?

Check with a serious automotive paint supply shop. They will likely have blue decal stripes for much less.

I used plasti dip on a trailer and it turned out great and it's removable if you decide you don't like it

I removed the vinyl stripe on a Sovereign, but the stripe etched the aluminum, so you could still see the ghost of the stripe that wouldn’t polish out. I primed everything, sprayed the dark blue first, let it dry for a couple of days, masked it off top and bottom with 1.88” “delicate surface” Frogtape, and sprayed the lighter blue in the center. I removed the crusty emblems and sanded and repainted them.
