I just finished stripping and recoating my trailer with Nyalic. I took the blue stripes off and recoated from the bottom of the midline to the top. The Nyalic was pretty good to work with. I had to buy a low cost HVLP spray gun but I wanted one for my woodworking anyway. I sprayed the material just as it came out of the can with no thinning. I got one runny or sagged area but it was fairly easy to clear it off and recoat. I have no idea how the Nyalic will hold up but it looks pretty good now. I use one quart exactly for the part I did. At $96 a quart that is really not bad. You would have to buy 2 quarts to do a whole 25' trailer. I have the second quart unopened and am just going to keep it until next year. Shelf life is supposed to be very long. I am done with this project for now. The solvent is xylene which I do not like to be around much. You can clean the gun and equipment with miner4al spirits or naptha but it makes a mess as the Nyalic reacts with the thinner to make a white mass that plugs up the strainer and cup on the gun.
Just wondering if anyone is familiar with a product called Nyalac to use instead of clear coat?
Here's an older post of mine on the big Corrosion thread. The Nyalac will spray over the existing clear coat also if you are doing filiform repair on the Skin. http://www.airforums.com/forums/f142...ml#post1450224
