Question Need Advice

Hi everyone,
I have been stewing over this issue and really would value your opinions.

I will soon be selling my Excella but need some advice. The clearcoat is peeling badly on one side and was wondering if I should fix this before selling or leave it "as is?" The cost to have this professionally done is $3,700. Do you think I can recoup this cost in the sale of my Airstream?

Thanks in advance....

Mello Mike.

Sell it "as is".

The new buyer may want it polished, or polished and replasticoated, or painted metallic silver.

You could get some of that investment back, but probably only 50 percent.

Sell it as is. You are more likely to recoup costs on quick interior cosmetic rehabs like carpet than the big polish job....

No. You might actually do the best by stripping it and polishing it. Still would be some finacial outlay you will probably break even if you do the labor. Thats if you count your time as free.

Nay! Too hard to recover your cost. New owner can decide. They might like it just as it sits.

Well considering the fact that the cost of recoating mine was about 150% of the purchase price...and while it would make the unit look better, I doubt you would be able to recoup the cost of it.
For a definitive answer I would see what Excellas similar to yours are selling for and see if the price range between a moderate condtion one and a top condtion one are enough to justify it...I seriously doubt it. JMHO
