A couple of questions:

1.) Was the plastic coating on the "AIRSTREAM" letters suppose to be a temporary coating - or a permanent coating. In other words, was it used to initially protect the chrome letters during installation, with the intent that it would be pulled off. The reason I ask is that the coating is now peeling off my 2000 Excella and the chrome-plated plastic underneath is in pretty good condition - although not worth restoring.

2. Can OEM letters be purchased from Airstream for a 2000 Excella?
