I need a piece of belt-line trim...

I need to replace part of the belt-line trim moulding on my 1973 31' AS. There is about a 12' section of one of the long pieces that is bent up too much for me to straighten out so that it looks good. I could piece in a section as short as 2' and anything longer would be a plus. The bent part is on the side where it is straight. Does anyone have a piece that would fit my need? If so please PM me with details.

Thanks,

Malcolm

Airfish are you affiliated with Inland RV center? I notice that your location is Corona, CA.

Airfish,

Thanks for the offer. I will get outside some time today and get a photo - weather permitting.

Airfish, is George Gilbert, one of the owners of Revolution RV, in Santee.

They are a new selling dealer, and new to the Airstream programs.

New moldings for the 73 trailer has not been availble for many years. However, someone may have a section of that molding that was removed from another trailer.

Photos of the trim...

The attached phots show what I am looking for. The second photo is not a particularly good one but shows an idea of the conture from the end.

Any help in finding a piece would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Malcolm

Malcolm.

That molding was last used in 1973.

It has not been available for maybe 15 years, as Airstream went to the "insert" type moldings.

Your only shot is to find a salvage trailer somewhere.

Andy,

The main reason I posted was the hope that someone on the forums knew of a piece somewhere from a used unit.

Better photo of the end view...

The included photo is a better view of what the end of the trim looks like.

Malcolm.

I have never dealt with them, but a number of posts have mentioned Colaws.

I think their in Colorado.

I just replaced all of the mouldings on my 1978. The Airstream dealer in Eugene Oregon was able to get all three sizes directly from Airstream in 50' lengths.

Belt Trim

Malc,

Did you ever replace your trim? Di you find something used ? Aftermarket?

I have a piece that was bent in transit after I removed it from my trailer (long story) I'm not sure if I can straighten it and am hoping to find a source for replacement

thank you
Eric
