I have been using POR 15 on my MH restoration. I have been thoroughly impressed. I am using it on everything that is rusty. It is a liitle difficult to work with but it stops rust in its tracks.

I'd be curious to know if anyone has ever gone back years later, and checked their POR-15 frame?

I used it on the frame and bottom of the bed on a pickup about 10 years ago. I bought the acid wash/cleaner and followed the instructions. Ruse came back thru. In places, it peeled.

Tnx CRH

I POR-15'd my '65 Ambassador about 3 years ago but,
it's all buttoned up so I can't check how well it's held out.

It was in pretty bad shape... most outriggers were completely gone.

Did not use the acid or prep, just scrape and wire wheel

I used the Rustoleum product on the waste tank cover, and within six weeks (maybe less) it completely rusted thru the coating.

Boondock dad, you did your interior walls? How'd you apply it? I am contemplating doing the curve below my lower belt line and banana wraps with it, sometime in its past life a PO used bondo on the banana wraps and it needs to be touched up and re-painted. I know I would have to use the primer first as I would be going over old unknown paint so I would have to tie coat it together....

POR 15 is very cool stuff. Quite versatile.

Don't get it on your skin or you will have to wear it off (3 to 6 days)!

In 2012 shell off, I used it on all steel components, frame, outriggers, etc. Then top coated that with an oil based enamel paint. 3 years later, I can not see any issues what so ever.

It seals wood very well. I also used it to coat the holes I drilled in the floor for gas lines, etc.

It can also be used on fiberglass mat instead of epoxy resin. Great for re-reinforcing stuff.

I pulled the shell off, removed the entire floor, and treated the whole frame.
Bumper to coupler... no aluminum or walls

I'm only familiar with their 'rust preventative paint', not sure if that's what you're referring to for your lower belt line/wraps... I'm not sure that would be the best product for that application.
