Graphics on Airstream

I want to add a bit more to the outside of the Airstream and I am trying to decide what I want around it to make it look really nice.A good friend of mine is wanting to put vinyl graphics on it and keeps bugging me to let him do it.I told him I would but it has to be really clean.I dont want anything really crazy.(Let the joking begin.)but i would like some smooth lines on it.What does Airstream do or have you all seen anything that looks really nice when something is done like that. Thanks

Be careful!

I would be afraid of the graphics leaving a "ghost" image in the aluminum like the WBCCI numbers do if you ever wanted to remove them.

On the other hand, it's your trailer to do as you like.

ok, so i'm done bein' silly.....

airstream has offered a variety of graphics, especially on the limited models...here's a picture of one of the larger versions photo'd last spring, on the lot in st louie....the plasticcoat was peelin on top.

my understanding is that this was/is about 3k$ from the factory and can still be had....yes that's correct 3k$.

they will do business/corporate graphics as a custom job....but it's done more commonly on their skydecks/class a models that are slab sided fiberstuff.

i'm of the opinion that with so many edges on the vinyl and the challenges of expansion/contraction are really hard on large graphic applications.

still some nice mod designs would look cool from a distance...really.

cheers

Thumbs down

Devoman,

You do that & I can sell you some 'Spinner' wheel covers for the Touareg. They will go real well together with the graphics. How about a hood ornament? Curb feelers? Some pine trees to hang from the rear view mirror with a really good sent?

How about...

a swoosy (sp?) checker flag that goes from the T-reg to the trailer?

Or... you could wrap it to look like an Argosy? Honestly, I do like the checkers idea, but really, plain looks great too!

Frankly boys I can't keep folks from looking at Airstream One. They slow down to look at the nose art. They walk up to the bus while I'm working with clients. They roll their heads both ways as they read the circle. It's the best money I've ever spent on corporate identity hands down.
I'm going to get a little hand fan and print it up with "Made ya look" so I can wave it at folks caught in the act.
I worked with a client last week who emailed me later and said no less than seven people walked into his office wanting to know, "who was in the bus."
The right graphics say it all.

We have a 2002 34 Limited that the factory added the 99 graphics to it when it was built. The only thing not added was the words "Limited" on the side. I am not sure what the price was but I don't think it was $3k. We get ALOT of complements on how great it looks.
