Fridge door stripper

What do you all recommend for stripping clear coat off the exterior fridge compartment door? I need something that won't stain or leave any patina. The metal is so thin that I fear any rubbing or polishing will bend the fins.

You might try Citristrip from the hardware store, or Aircraft Stripper, usually available at auto parts stores. These both work great on the old, weathered clear coats from the 70's, but might not touch the clear coat you have on your 2007. I bought a new panel made of the modern plasti-coated shell material, and neither of these strippers had any effect. Still looking for something stronger. Have heard of a product called "Marine stripper" that is said to be effective, but have yet to get my hands on any.

good luck!
