Filiform

Currently a non owner looking at a '05 that has been a coastal trailer and has a bit of filiform corrosion on it. How do you handle that? How much is to much and what affect does it have on the trailer long term?

Jackfre,
While it's a bit overwhelming, give this thread a look.

Chris gave you quite an assignment, it's a PITA problem but can be dealt with.
After you've finished your homework if you have any specific questions be prepared for varying answers.

Bottom line...whatever course you take be diligent, inspect often and don't let it get the best of you.

As Horace once said:
"Time will bring to light whatever is hidden; it will cover up and conceal what is now shining in splendor."
