Drip Caps

Need or at least would like to replace all the drip caps on a 1955 Whale Tail. Looks like almost every one on the internet is selling these: Philips 3216DC-52-MF Drip Cap, 52" either by Dexter or Phillips, the curve looks wrong and not sure if aluminum can be polished. Vintage has these, but they are WHITE, curve looks right, but how much work to strip and how do they polish: Vintage Trailer Drip Cap.

Question has anyone tried the Dexter or Phillips and do they measure the same as the existing ones or do you need to add an inch or so??

Has anyone stripped the White one's and polished?? How did it go??

Any other options or suppliers??
