Are we making too much of a problem that may be rare or easily prevented?
You are doing your research up front, which is good. So armed with what you know you can make an informed decission. So when you go to look at units (new or used) be sure to look for known issues and make the sale of the trailer contingent on fixing what you find.
The filiform corrosion is more of a cosmetic issue and does not affect the functionality of the coach.
Please don't be disuaded from considering an Airstream coach. Just go into it with open eyes.
