Can you Spray on a new Plastic Coat?

I had a new clear coat applied this year to my bass boat and I was wondering if a new clear coat or plastic coat can be applied to an AS in the same manner?

Just adding my 2 worth

According to the research that I did prior to having my '64 Overlander professionally polished and Platicoated, the only proven method is to employ a professional for the Plasticoat as it is a proprietary process. The Ruths of P & Trailer Service performed the service on my Overlander - - from my understanding, they offer both "factory sheen" polish as well as the "high sheen" polishes; I chose to go with the "factory sheen" as I wanted the coach to appear like it did when my family's friends purchased it new in 1964. You can learn more about the Ruths at:

Good luck with your Plasticoat investigation!
