I like these Glare products. Easy on and off, and last a year. Still bead up water after one year.

Glare :: Home

They are pricey, but work well.

I am not affiliated with them in any way.

carlose,

I have been using this for the last 5 years, works & lasts sooper.
Easy on by hand or with a Porter-Cable Orbital and off with micro-fiber removal cloth.

Ok I am thinking plexus might work well yes no?

I am sure it would look killer for few years but might do something to clear coat. Plastic polish

I just might question the effects it may have on the coating itself, too many red flags listed there.

Go with a good wax or paint sealer, after washing with a good quality car wash and thorough rinse. (no DW liquid,Dawn etc.)

Have had very good results with Griot's Paint Sealer.

Also any good carnuba based wax would be an acceptable alternative.

Jim,

Just my own experience.....

I got some(Walber), from the dealer in western PA...tried it once, lasted less than one Season. I use Griot's every Fall and it's still beading well into the following Season. Seems to be much easier to de-bug also.
I do plan to do a few panels with their new carnuba wax this Spring to see how it compares.

The MOST important thing is keeping it as clean as you can, keeping the bugs and tar off.(wd40 works well), Check the seams/rivet's frequently for filiform corrosion.

Bob,

Thanks for info on what to use. I did wonder when using WD 40 to remove bugs and tar should I put another coat of polish on then to?

....I usually only 40 the stubborn stuff, doesn't seem to effect the sealer much at all. If in doubt I will wipe down with Prep-sol to clean and re-apply the sealer.
The 40 also works great on the stainless segment protectors, no sealer needed there.
