Applying the wide blue stripe decal to a 3-dimensional surface.

I need to continue applying the new blue 7" wide stripe beltline round the rear corners of our trailer. These parts of the trailer narrow towards the ground, so the stripe has to deal with a 3-D shape. At present, I guess I have to remove both the front and back papers, so that the top of the vinyl can be stretched, in order to avoid folds near the bottom. Has anyone any experience of this? This will be tricky, for sure. Thanks.
Nick
